the big thing this year is a staycation, staying in your hometown, doing the tourist thing.

wondering how everyone would do this, either on a budget or blowing every penny you have

If I was doing that this year (going to BC for 3 weeks), I'd take short trips to some of the beautiful places nearby and just take along food for picnic-style meals. Sandbanks is one, Frontenac park is another. Maybe hit up some nearby music festivals and the like (Wolfe Island Music Fest!).

Hmm, rent a little boat and get out on the lake. Visit the steam museum, take the tour of city hall, visit the prison museum, have a BBQ at city park, walk along the waterfront, go fishing on one of the lakes north of the city, take a drive to Perth. Ride that trolley thingy.

Not too sure what else there is.

Interesting poster, r_o, I wonder if the intelligent folks that made it realise that without tourism, 80-90% of downtown businesses would very likely be boarded up. Oh well.
